  • Hi all, I got the info that an update has been deployed that fixed the bug where an error was shown when trying to connect to a remote computer using its IP address. We´ll make sure to get the Change Log live as soon as possible, but I wanted to inform you right away that the fix is live. The new version number is: 15.28.7…
  • Thanks @tekpdx - Can you confirm that you enabled the "Send system key combinations" setting on your mac? Hi @RMF_Solutions - Thanks for your comment. As a mac user myself, I get your point but I think the key commands won´t change. For all of us wondering about the "translation" of key commands from mac to windows, I…
  • Hi again @Omar-Os Thank you for your comment. I send it to our R&D team 👍 However, also for the MSI, you need to uninstall the 32-bit version before you can install the 64-bit version. Have a good start to your week, Esther
  • Hi @tekpdx Thanks for your feedback. I tried to reproduce it and connected from a Mac to a Win (TeamViewer 15.28 on both sides) and send the key commands command + r and command + e. Command + r opened up the Run command and Command + e opened up my Win Explorer. What happens when you send it? And what are you expecting to…
  • Hi @Aditza, hi @Wim_Terstegen, Today, the R&D team reached out to me and confirmed your findings. They were able to identify the issue and are now working on a fix. We will deploy a fixed version soon (before the next monthly release in April), however, I do not have information about the exact day. Thanks for your report…

  • Hi @Omar-Os Regarding the update of 32-bit to 64-bit: I talked with our development team as well as our support team. They let me know that the update can be easily achieved by re-deploying TeamViewer via MSI. With this method, you can uninstall the 32-bit version and install the 64-bit version on all devices at once (For…
  • Hi @Aditza I checked with our support internally and will get back to you as soon as I hear something. Just FYI: @brucewol reported the same here: error message- you have entered the id of your own computer I hope I´ll have an update for you soon, Esther
  • HI @brucewol I´ll check internally. Saw the same comment also under yesterday's Change Log here: [Windows] v15.28.5 — TeamViewer Support Thanks for reporting it! Esther
  • Hi Omar - what do you mean?
  • OK - thanks for your quick reply. But I think we can just say that TeamViewer transmits all "commands" via the trackpad to the Mac except for the zoom gestures. So something is holding these specific "commands" from being transmitted.
  • HI again @NickHatBoecker QUick Question: Do you have a TeamViewer license so that you could send in logfiles via our ticket portal?
  • Hi @diamed I am sorry that you had trouble creating the ticket even though you have the license on your account! I´ll try to get my colleagues to reach out to you directly. To share private information, let´s move the conversation into a private message. Thanks for your understanding! Esther
  • That sounds plausible to me. @TV_Benjamin have you ever had a case like this? Fun fact: This morning I was looking for a new keyboard for my Windows and found one with a trackpad. But I interpreted it more as usable with Smart TVs than with the computer. However - this tells me, that Windows also has some trackpad parts…
  • Hi @NickHatBoecker Interesting use case! We were just launching two new articles that are focussing on cross-platform commands (well, key commands), but touch gestures are also important for sure. 👉 Use key commands in sessions (Win -> Mac) 👉 Use key commands in sessions (Mac -> Win) Do I get your setup right, that you…
  • Hi there, Thanks for your question! It is an interesting one indeed, and please know that I forwarded it to our Trust & Safety team internally. The Trust & Safety team is working day in and day out on such security topics and you can help them by sending in the TeamViewer IDs of the scammers via our form at any time:…
  • Hi Douglas, Thanks for your question. A very smart question if I may add! The full version does not require a license for private use and it is with 100% certainty the same version you are using already. You only need to change the tab from Remote Control to Meeting to host your call with your friend and present him your…
  • Hi @darreno123 And thanks @LAZEROWN for replying to the first question! Much appreciated 🙌 1) As LAZEROWN said correctly: Generally, it is recommended that everyone holds their own account. However, if your dad does not use TeamViewer actively (that means: Making connections himself) he does not really need an account.…
  • Now guess what - a colleague reached out to me suggesting to set a hotkey for my screenshot tool that works with a Mac keyboard. Basically changing the Print key with a customized version. Did it. Tested it! (set up option + control + r which equals Alt + CTRL + r on Windows) It works! Adding a screenshot as proof:
  • Hi Talin, Willkommen in unserer Community.
  • How did you try to generate the new random password? Can you describe your steps taken?
  • Ohhh - your reply slipped through. I am sorry for the delay: When having TeamViewer open on your mac, you can click on Help --> Check system access to open the dialog box! Sorry once again, Esther
  • Hi again, Ok - I see. I have another idea of what can cause this: Can you enter the TeamViewer Options on your Windows device --> Advanced and scroll to Advanced settings for connections to other computers and check the setting for Access Control? What is the setting there?
  • Hi again Aris, Once again regarding the account: Are you logged in? If yes, I wonder whether you maybe added this account to the blocklist instead of the allowlist. Is that possible? Thanks, Esther
  • Hi again and good morning! Even though I only have limited VPN knowledge I think you are right that you need VPN for that case. However - that being said: I also think you need a bit more advanced support than I can offer, but it was a pleasure talking with you again 🙌 I am sending a help request to my experienced friends…
