When sending my quicksupport link or quick meeting link, the recipient goes to a web page that downloads an executable, while the page shows a link for the web version. While I am trying to explain to someone where to look for the download (many users are not very computer literate) the web page will timeout and the user will lose access to the web version link. If the user is unable to run the program because the admins at their company block unrecognised exes, I am then stuck.
suggestion one - have a big arrow pointing to the exe - this will vary by browser (left for chrome, middle for edge etc), but you can detect that and point the arrow in the right place
suggestion two - stop having disappearing links the the web version. This bit is very silly and very frustrating. I never want my clients to see this just because they are a bit slow:
