can a website know teamviewer is being used?

Hi TeamViewer Support,

I have a question regarding how TeamViewer remote access works from a networking perspective.

If I am physically in another country and use TeamViewer to remotely control my desktop computer located in the United States, and I open a website or web-based trading platform on that remote desktop:

Will the website see the IP address and location of the U.S. desktop computer, or is there any way it could see or detect the IP address/location of the device I am using to connect through TeamViewer?

Also, can the website detect that the U.S. computer is currently being remotely controlled through TeamViewer, or does the browser traffic simply appear as normal traffic originating from the U.S. computer?

Thanks for the follow-up question.

From a TeamViewer perspective, TeamViewer does not expose information to the website, indicating that the computer is currently being accessed through a TeamViewer session. Beyond that, we can't speak to what a specific third-party website may or may not detect through its own security, analytics, or fraud-prevention mechanisms.

But if i am using a web browser google chrome, and i never downloaded anything from the website. Could this website in any way know there is remote access through teamviewer? or any remote access? how would they know

If you're using TeamViewer to control a computer in the United States, any website you open on that remote computer will normally see the public IP address and location of the U.S. computer, since the browser traffic comes from that device.

In general, a website cannot directly see your TeamViewer connection, but some websites may use their own security or fraud-detection tools to identify remote-access software or other system characteristics.
