Tia has long been known as the TeamViewer Intelligent Agent, offering real-time conversational guidance during support sessions. Now, Tia can go even further. With Tia Troubleshooting, Tia moves beyond advice to actively diagnosing and, when approved, resolving issues directly on remote devices.
From advice to action: two new modes courtesy of TeamViewer
Until now, Tia's role was entirely conversational. It analyzed session data and answered questions. With Tia Troubleshooting, Tia can use real troubleshooting tools and scripts within an ongoing session. Using Tia Troubleshooting means being able to: read live device data, run diagnostics, apply fixes, and more.
To achieve the above, Diagnose or Resolve mode can be added to Advise mode.
- Advise mode (default offering): Tia works with the existing session context to answer questions and recommend next steps.
- Diagnose mode (new offering): Tia gains read-only access to the remote device, running whitelisted scripts and generating ad-hoc diagnostics to pinpoint root causes in real time.
- Resolve mode (new offering): Tia can apply fixes directly to the device. Every system-changing action still requires your explicit approval before it runs, so you always stay in control (this is known as human-in-the-loop, or HITL).
