When multiple remote support sessions are happening across your organization, maintaining visibility can be just as important as providing support itself. TeamViewer's Active Connections view gives administrators a real-time overview of ongoing remote sessions, helping them see who is connected, which devices they are connected to, and what activity is occurring.
When needed, administrators can also end an active session directly, providing an additional layer of oversight and control. Whether you're responding to a suspicious connection, investigating unusual activity, or simply maintaining operational control, you can take immediate action from a single place.
What is Active Connections?
Active Connections provides real-time visibility into remote connections involving company members, helping administrators and authorized users monitor ongoing remote activity across their organization. Users with the required permissions can view active sessions and gain greater oversight over remote support operations.
Active Connections is currently available as a Beta feature. At this stage, it only displays connections where at least one participant is a company user.
What's new?
Active Connections now allows authorized users to terminate ongoing sessions directly from the Active Connections view. Users can select one or multiple ongoing sessions and end them immediately when necessary, making it easier to respond quickly and maintain control over remote activity.
Why it matters
Imagine spotting a connection that shouldn't be running, or identifying a session that needs to be stopped immediately. Instead of escalating the issue or looking for alternative ways to intervene, authorized users can now take action directly from the Active Connections view. This is a time-saver and a good way to ensure full control at all times.
More than just a monitoring tool, Active Connections gives teams a centralized place to both display and manage remote activity across their organization.
Getting started
To use Active Connections, a company administrator must enable the feature for the organization and assign the View active connections permission to the appropriate users. Once configured, authorized users can access the Active Connections view to monitor ongoing sessions and, when needed, terminate them directly from the same place.
