When installing TeamViewer, you need to decide whether you are using TeamViewer privately, commercially or both.
What does this mean in detail?
Commercial:
Do you want to use TeamViewer in your company or for other commercial purposes? When choosing commercial and you are making the first connection to another device a limited trial period starts for your device. This trial gives you the opportunity to test TeamViewer before making your purchase decision.
Both:
Please choose both, when you are using TeamViewer both for private connections to your friends and family members and for using TeamViewer for your work or other commercial purposes. Both means, that you use TeamViewer at least partly commercial and therefor a limited trial period will start as soon as you are making the first connection to another device. This trial gives you the opportunity to test TeamViewer before making your purchase decision.
Private:
When you are using TeamViewer exclusively for private connections, you can choose it in the installation process by clicking on private. If you choose private, you are not allowed to make any commercial connections like home office or others. If you decide to use TeamViewer also for your work at a later point of time, you can buy a TeamViewer license and activate it on your computer and so you can make commercial connections as well.
Please make your decision carefully, since it is not possible to change the chosen setting afterwards.
When your trial has expired, you cannot use TeamViewer any longer without buying and activating a TeamViewer license.
