Introducing Network Discovery & Monitoring

We are excited to introduce Network Monitoring for TeamViewer Monitoring. We’ve just released a Lab version which enables our users to test and explore Network Monitoring. We can’t wait to get in touch with you and hear your feedback.

TeamViewer Monitoring users can now discover and monitor their network devices, and categorize them into the following categories:

  • Computers (Windows based computers)
  • Router & Switch
  • Printer (Network Printer)
  • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
  • NAS (Network Attached Storage)
  • Other Devices (all devices which were not sorted into the other categories)

After the discovery of your network devices is complete, you can set up checks for periodical monitoring of your network devices. Currently, network monitoring supports the following checks for devices with SNMP support:

Router & Switch:

Port state: If selected, this will raise an alarm when a port from a router or switch is blocked or broken.

Printer:

Toner: If selected, this will raise an alarm when the toner from a network printer is low.
Paper: If selected, this will raise an alarm when the paper from a network printer is low.

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS):

Battery capacity: If selected, this will raise an alarm when the UPS battery capacity falls below the configured threshold.
Battery time remaining: If selected, this will raise an alarm when the UPS energy storage "in minutes" falls below the configured threshold.

Network Attached Storage (NAS):

Disk Space: If selected, this will raise an alarm when the NAS disk space is lower than the configured threshold.
Disk Health: If selected, this will raise an alarm when the NAS disk health reports hardware errors.

Computers:

To monitor your Computers, please use TeamViewer Monitoring

    Hello everyone.

    I have found that for a certain divice, there are 36 OTHER Devices.

    What does this actually mean?

  • Unfortunatly this is imaUnfortunately this is a resource full of errors and problems, from conception to use and results. It needs to improve a lot to have a place in the sun. I've had several tickets and coworkers with different teamviewer teams about it and for several months and nothing has changed so far. unfortunatetture and
