Mapped Drives / UNC Paths

I have a Windows Server 2003 R2 that can only have up to TV v14 so I can't get TeamViewer backup installed on it. I tried an alternative of installing v15 on a newer server and mapped the directories I wanted to backup but TeamViewer backup doesn't backup anything in Mapped Drives. I saw a post from 2017 mentioning this and it sounded like it would eventually be supported: https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/ITbrain-Support-OLD/Backup-of-network-paths-UNC/m-p/5615/highlight/true#M88

Any updates or alternative solutions?
