PC to MAC version issue

Getting a version matching error....Have a windows 7 machine trying to comm with TV on a mac. The mac is OS X v10.6.8, and TV is 9.0.25 on that mac. The w7 TV version is 15.8.3.

Should I have received this error message for these versions? Thinking no
