I Just asked a question but I can't find it.
I have a free license and yesterday When I tried to connect to a family computer I kept getting timed out almost immediately. Then if I try to reconnect immediately I get "Unable to connect message" and ask me to wait 1 minute after which it does it again. I uninstalled TV using IObit uninstaller and reinstalled version 15.13.6 (32 Bit). and updated windows and it did not help.
Any Idea why is this happening?
Every time I remote log in it times out right after log in
This has been discussed dozens, if not hundreds of times on this site. The software has some sort of algortithm that is supposed to flag your account if it suspects you of commercial use, but it's obviously broken, because it flags tons of people incorrectly.
So, then there is a form you can fill out for them to review your case and remove the "commercial use suspected" flag on your account.
But from what I'm reading on this message board, it takes weeks before they will review your complaint and remove the flag
Additionally, some people are saying that within a few more uses, the "commercial use suspected" flag reappears and they are back to the same place they were before. So it appears to be a endless circle of frustration.
And the mods on this message board will not allow any discussion of any of their competitors, but a simple Google search or Wikipedia search should give you a list of alternatives.
It's really as shame as I have been a loyal TeamViewer user (for ten or fifteen years probably) and recommended it hundreds of times to people I know, but I'm in the same boat as you.
I'm going to abandon TeamViewer and go to one of their competitors and I'll make sure to tell everyone from now on, how wretched of a product TeamViewer now has.
I don't mind if they want to make it pay only, that's their right, but to claim that personal use is still free when it isn't is simply lying to people, and that's what I have an issue with. It's a shame when a good company goes bad, and that's the case here, in my humble opinion.
I love how you cant submit a ticket it seems like unless you have a paid license. I'd like to know how my phone, which i used on teamviewer maybe a total of 10 times this year is being flagged as commercial. When i run it on LTE to my home PC it is definately not commercial and when im at work, the wifi is on a separate network and internet connection than our commercial network and internet connection.
So, not only do i find it funny it got flagged commercial at all since i can use my home PC to connect to my other PC in my home so it isnt an account lock. I've never used my phone to connect to my work PC or any other PC than one of the two in my home. How do i make this go away since i cant submit a ticket? Do i actually have to call them? Because im on the west coast and am at work during their call hours....
I have three computers for personal stuff. One computer now does a session time out. Sent request to fix to TeamViewer two weeks ago. No answer. HELP.
I haven't used Teamviewer in some time. When I executed the program today and attempted to connect to my brother's computer, it "Timed Out". It also stated it looked like I was usinf it for commercial use. This is not the case. Anyone experienced this issue and if so, how do I correct it?
all of a sudden my sessions either fail to connect or die after 60 seconds and it says commercial use detected.

I used a commercial license version for work, which has expired, but now am retired and need to downgrade to a personal license. I've uninstalled the commercial version and installed the free version on both computers that I'm trying to connect, but get a message that commercial license is expired.
The same thing is happening to me. Please advise me also if a solution is suggested.

Hands up if you'd pay for a reasonably-priced personal subscription, if for nothing else than to keep getting flagged? $50/month is way too much. I've moved on to inferior software, but at least it doesn't constantly lock me out of my computers.
The same is happening to me too. Very frustrating! TV, please explain! I've updated to the current program. This happened last year after an upgrade, but began working correctly after some time. I don't use regularly, but it's a nice program when we do need to help family members, especially while SIP because of Covid-19.

Hey everyone I am having problems before I never had a problem I can look at my computer from my mobile phone and then I recently got a Chromebook saying also and so when I go and log into my computer here at the house or it's in the other room it's telling me that this is being a commercial use and I'm not using it for commercial use I'm just looking at something on my computer from the bedroom instead of me having to get up because I am disabled can anybody help me on who I need to contact to get this thing fixed because when I had a tablet and my phone it both of them let me remote access into the computer here at the house and saw on the same network please help me as soon as possible thank you
I am 76 yo and retired. My brother is 84 and quite computer illiterate. I also have a two friends, both in their 80's who are the same. All they need is some help from me but I keep getting disconnected because you say something to the effect of that it is being used for business.
How do I establish that I just want to use it with my family and friends, and that it is not for business purposes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On top of that when I try to reconnect I get a "connection blocked after timeout......Immediate reconnects are blocked. Please try later or upgrade your license. Connection to this partner will be blocked unitl ##:##" message. The VERY interesting thing about this message is that even after that specified time, I am still blocked and get the same "connection blocked....." message but the "blocked until" time has changed to one minute from the current time. No matter how many times I try to reconnect that message keeps showing up and the time is changed........

I'm getting timed out after 30 seconds. I've been using TeamViewer for years to support my mother and use it once or twice a month. We both have the latest version installed. Any suggestions for a fix?
I am getting a message that TeamViewer has timed out. I only have this issue on one computer, and I started getting the Commercial usage message only after I cloned my drive. Initially, I thought the issue was corrected, I sent the form to TV explaining how I use it, but I no longer get the message about Commercial use, just times out after connecting for a couple of minutes. I have another computer in a different room on the same account that works without issues.
I only use team viewer with 1 person, perhaps 1 a week. First I got notice that you thought I was using Team Viewer commercially, finally got that straighten out, and now I sign in to my friend and it times me right out.
Same frustration here - evidently sophisticated means commercial. Like most people, I use Teamviewer for my mom. Hopelessly inept at anything with a screen. I'd like to thank them for letting me use their software to help her out, but the most recent restriction to 5 or so minutes makes that painful.
Honestly - be happy to pay for a personal license without restrictions at a price more suited to the value it has for me, but $600 is enough to make me look elsewhere for solutions - maybe even slog my way through Apple's remote management **bleep**.

Does it think I'm using it commercially? Why can't I stay on anymore?
I connected to my mother's computer via TeamViewer for a remote control session to assist her and within 30 seconds, just after seeing the desktop on the remote computer, TeamViewer closes the connection. It then displays a text box message saying "Your license limits the maximum session duration to a partner, immediate reconnects are blocked. Please try later or upgrade your license." So I waited a couple of hours, tried it again with the exact same result.
I've used TeamViewer for years to support my family and to remote control other computers on my home network and until a year or so ago, never had a problem and was always grateful for the free personal use license. I've never used it for commercial purposes. But right now, I can't even remote control my laptop, which is sitting 2 ft. from my router on the same network.
I'm flummoxed as to how to fix this. It's not like I can afford to purchase a commercial license just for the ability to look at an error message on my mom's computer. I tried uninstalling and reinstalled TeamViewer to no avail.
I'd be very appreciative to anyone who can help me solve this problem.

I have been using TeamViewer for years but recently it has limited my use to only a few minutes.
Once it said I needed to upgrade to the Business model and after writing back and forth they reactivated my access to a longer time I guess.
The people I am working with are now getting the same run around as I had and we are not big users of this system so why is the system being so complicated to work with>
I have told everyone that if it consists we will change over to **Information removed as per Community Guidelines** so we will see what happens.
So much for that. It has been fun and good with this free service but I guess we are no longer needed.
