2factor authentication not working - does not ask for second pass code

I have recently installed Teamviewer on my PC in order to access it when i'm not at home. Until now i was able to connect with a pre defined password and with the ID which does not seem to change.
Yesterday i wanted to setup 2factor authentication. I have logged in to my account on the website and enabled 2fa. Next i have scanned the QR and setup Google Authenticator. Afterwards i tried to connect from my traveling laptop with the team viewer app (run only, one time use) but i was still able to login with just the password and it did not ask for the second factor. Do i miss something?
Btw. i have just found this very old documentation with the video from 2013! Is there a newer documentation arround for 2fa Setup?

The 2FA is a security setting for your TeamViewer Account - we recommend the setup of 2FA for your account and add an allowlist to your devices to only allow people on the allowlist to connect. Please see our recommendations here:
