Session limit reached (Despite policy)

We are finding machines are saying the maximum sessions are being used. This is happening despite sessions being ended correctly and Despite logging out sessions from the profile management!

We are finding a Reboot doesn't resolve, policies is set to time out after 30mins (this is not happening).

For the last few days, doing a full uninstall and reinstall had been resolving, but we are now getting machines where this does NOT work and they are rendered completely unusable with a "Session limit Reached" error whenever you try and connect, no matter what we try.

Why is this happening, is there any local files that can be deleted to clear the session lock?

    Hi all,

Thanks for your posts in the community 😃

It seems like some sessions have been recognized that they have still been connected with the TeamViewer server even though you have ended the sessions for some reason. Please make sure that you have ended a session by clicking X button on the session toolbar. We recommend always using the cross button within the TeamViewer toolbar to close a TeamViewer session. We do not recommend using the Windows closing X-button in the upper right corner of the remote session window.

Also, you can click the help on the software>Help>About TeamViewer>channel use> You will see the TeamViewer ID which is used at the time.

You can also check the following article for more info:

Hope this information will be helpful.

    Kind regards,
