Commercial use - Connection time out

Hi there.
My brother is currently in an induced coma due to covid and pneumonia. I have been using teamviewer to control a phone that we've given to his nurses as we are not allowed to visit. We play a controlled playlist and live recited prayers from homes of loved ones and hit play a few times per day on his phone.
Teamviewer has now closed this access as were are using the service excessively(?) and considers our use to be professional use.
We are hopeful that some steady improvements in his health will mean we won't need to use this service for more than a few weeks so might it be possible to continue to use this as a free service?

Dear Sir,
I use team viewer sometimes to connect with my desktop whenever I am not accessible to that computer. Recently I tried to log in, but your system flagged me as a commercial user. Actually it is incorrect. I use TV only for my personal access to my desktop occasionally.
a couple of years ago , this happened by mistake and I had the same issue, and after I had emailed TV, you had released the account.
I would appreciate if you could do the same this time, as you can understand our accessibility physically is impaired due to the correct pandemic, and TV does help personal users.
do let me know by email to [removed per Community Guidelines]
Thanks/Ani

Is the "commercial use" a potential warning sign that illicit access has been achieved at either the source or the target PC? ... and if so, what is the best way to monitor for this?
I am very grateful TeamViewer makes their product available for free for non-commercial use. There is nothing that requires that they do this, and I think it is quite generous. I only use the product to help my mom out when she has PC questions/problems, but I recently had to go through the re-activation for a 2nd time (in about a year).
Do these warnings give cause for concern that perhaps someone else has gotten access to her connection credentials? (I think the chances of this are extremely low, as neither of us would share that information with others.
I did have her generate a new, random password, and perhaps I will have her do that on a monthly basis, just to be safe. While my connections to my mom can sometimes be long in duration, her two computers are the only two devices to which I connect, and the purposes are purely personal/non-commercial. Still, it would give some peace of mind if there were some guidance on how to monitor for intrusions (or even just a way to get the logs of connection traffic for her/my account, as I think I would be able to quickly spot activity that falls outside the known connections that I'm making.

I am using the free version. The time Teammviewer allows me a connection to another computer is very short and I get cut after about 3-5 minutes. How do I solve this?

Hi everyone
Hope you are doing well.
My name is David and I am a lawyer at [removed per Community Guidelines]. I also made a website for my clients so that they can ask any question through our website. I also want to add a TeamViewer button on my website so that they can access my website easily. Is it possible? If yes, then how can I add it? Please let me know about it if you have any information.

I am also in the same situation, a free account flagged as commercial. I have provided the paperwork they requested and have received no answer. It appears there is no way to contact a person to get help. Very frustrating

Using it for personal use but it's keep blocking me and insisting to buy.
Why called it Free? How can I removed this restriction?
Thanks

I had my personal account unilaterally curtailed without warning or reason other than an accusation I was breaking the licence rules.
I followed the directions on the TeamViewer web site to have this addressed - twice and still no response. Seems the clear message is that Team Viewer want to get rid of all their personal users.
Since there is now no official company support for Personal Users and no response through the designated process, just curious if anyone else actually got a positive result to a request to be reinstated??

Hi,
I am operating under a free license and am attempting to screen share between my computer and a relative (in UK) who is using an IPAD. I am located in AUS.
I am using a Macbook Pro + Teamviewer App
Relative is using an iPAD + Teamviewer Quick Support App
I can connect fine but after approx 2 min, the connection ends and a message appears saying, thanks for using TV, play fair etc...
The strange thing is, is if I control my own iPad from my Macbook there's no issue with timeouts. The only difference is my relative is in the UK. We both have the same iPad version and IOS update.
Cheers

Hello.
I am trying to connect to my other devices using my Teamviewer client on my Mac but I keep getting an error that I may be using it for commercial purposes whereas I am trying to connect to personal computers around my house and my wife's or father's to assist with items on their computer having issues. How can I prove that I am not using my teamviewer account for my devices in a commercial manner but purely personal?

I use TeamViewer between my domestic laptops purely for personal use not commercial. You appear from the message to have blocked my usage apart from your assumption being incorrect I resent being accused of being dishonest.
Please advise how I can get the acount unlocked for personal use.

I have used TeamViewer to connect with my second computer and do some stuff on it from my main machine. I have never had any problems with connection limits etc. I use this software just at the home.
Unfortunately, yesterday I tried to connect with a second computer and do some things there, but TeamViewer close my connection after 1 minute of streaming. I repeated this a few times, but the result was always the same.
What is going on? As I remember, the free version for home usage has never had some limitations. So this 1 min limit is some kind of bug, or did they change their policy for the very restricted model?
On a machine that should be the host of remote desktop I have installed Windows 10 Home Edition, so I can't use native Windows RDP app.

@satisfiedshoes Your connection is being limited because TeamViewer suspects that you are using it for commercial purposes. If you believe that it is incorrect (which appears to be common), then you can use this form to request that they investigate.
Worth noting that there is no guarantee that they will unblock your ID. If they don't then you will either need to pay for a license or find alternative software.

Hi Guys,
This is my first post in this community. I will try to be as precise as possible. I linked to this thread because I have the same issue as reported above. I have received a commercial use detection (Possibly due to use of a VPN). This has happened several times in the past, and each time I have to get re-whitelisted.
I am a retired disabled man who uses the app to assist my aunt, who is clinically extremely vulnerable, following cancer treatment and currently won't let anyone but medical personnel into the house. I already installed this on her system when I set it up for her, so tried to access it recently to look at a pop-up on her system. When I tried, I got the commercial use detected due to activity. The thing is that I haven't used this app to help anyone for several months now, so find high activity use a bit strange.
Anyhow, I went to the reset-licence page and I filled in the online form. When I pressed the button to create the PDF and send, nothing happened. I have now tried this on Chrome, Edge and Firefox. All with and without the VPN Running. There seems no way to speak with tech support, which I tried to do, unless it is through this forum. Hence, this post. My ID is **Do Not Post TeamViewer IDs**
Any help anyone can offer me here would be greatly appreciated.

I use the free teamviewer app to monitor 3 satellitetv boxes which supply my residential complex in Tenerife with 3 tv channels from the UK. I live on the complex but the tv room is 7 floors down in another building and teamviewer saves me the time if there is a problem. Generally I just check them twice a day but recently due to supplier server problems it has been quite unreliable and I have been connecting many times over the last few days. The system now thinks I am not a residential user and has blocked my access. How do I get my account unlocked'

Hello,
I have been using Teamviewer for years to support my elderly parents and to connect between my different personal computers.
Today I got a message with the context "suspected commercial use detected" and my connections are being limited in time.
How do I continue using the free version?

I have a free personal use license. I use TeamViewer for helping my relatives with IT issues. I get "your connection has been blocked because of very high activity level." How do I resolve this and get reconnected?

I have been using TeamViewer for ten years or more. Suddenly, I am getting this:
I am at home and using only my laptop and a desktop that I use as a file server - at home, not in a commercial environment. I uninstalled & reinstalled TeamViewer on both, to no avail. Any ideas? Did anyone already have this problem & solve it?

Hi Support team,
Not sure if I should start a new issue, but I'm having a similar issue too, I do not use the tool commercially.
I mostly use it to support fellow students who need help and to transfer my research data across computers for analysis.
Please advise

I'll add my frustration to the list of sudddenly lossing connectivity (without warning) o another laptop in my training room to remote control whilst downloading routes on my training app.
I have filled in the form to get personal use restored and I have heard nothing.
I'll assume it will never be granted so will uninstall from all my machines and my family and friends too. I will find another piece of software. I worked in IT and recommended this product to many, it not on my recommended list anymore 😒

Just happened to me. Just how do I contact TeamViewer if I only have the free account. This happened once before a long while ago. but that time it was easy to get in contact and resolve issue.

So here is the issue. I get blocked by TeamViewer as they think I am not using it for personal use only. While infact, it is totally personal use. So how can I resolve this and explain my usage? it appears i cannot.
I understand that TeamViewer need to keep an eye on things to stop mis-use, but not being able to explain myself seems, to say the least, a little....mean.
This did happen once before, some time back. That time I was able to contact them and explain, resulting in me being 'un blocked'.
Although I am uncertain, I believe TeamViewer is the best software for my personal use. But whatever :-(
