It doesn't do me much good to use teamviewer remotely from another computer if each time I reboot the main computer with all my data, the program resets the password.

Log in to your main computer with your account then check "Allow easy access". Then sign in on your other machine, go to "Computers and contacts" and under the "My computers" tab you can find your main computer. Now all you have to do is just select it and choose "Remote control using password" (an arrow with a star). This will log you in to the main machine with your account, rather than a randomly generated one-time password.
