How can i see as administrator , which user is using the aviable channel(s) ?And can i discconect the active connection ?
Hi everyone, We’re happy to share some great news: TeamViewer now offers the Active Connections feature, giving authorized users real-time visibility into ongoing connections involving company users.
You can now manage all your active connections more efficiently by viewing them via the Active Connections view, and you can terminate ongoing sessions as an authorized user, providing greater visibility and control over remote activity. Over the years, many of you have shared feedback and suggestions around viewing and managing ongoing TeamViewer sessions. To bring all this valuable feedback and the latest updates together in one place, we’ve merged the related discussions and comments into this thread. To learn more about what’s new, check out our latest New Feature Spotlight:Manage Active Connections more efficiently with TeamViewer For detailed information about requirements, permissions, setup, and usage, please refer to our Knowledge Base article:Active Connections The feedback and use cases you’ve shared have helped us better understand your needs and continue improving our services. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the discussion! If you have any questions or would like to share your experience with Active Connections, feel free to leave a comment below. Best,
Jen
I asked for this years ago but nothing has been offered to date...
https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/Ideas/TeamViewer-Service-Notification-for-Channel-Limits-and/m-p/1099
I had the same problem twice. TeamViewer support could not help. At the end I had to wait 24 hours and the open session somehow was closed (not be me...).
It realy **bleep** that you have no way to kill an open session :-(

Does it work same on Mac?
I cound't find "Channel Use" on my Teamviewer running on Macbook Pro.
Thanks.

I'm not connected to any of my clients, yet I'm getting an error message that I've reached the maximum number of channels. So I checked the Channel Use and sure enough, there are 3 open channels, but I didn't initiate any of them. How do I close them?
I'm using Version 13.2
Hi again!
Just adding to what @DomLan has already said, it is possible that devices are added outside of what is monitorable.
However this can only occur 2 ways:
1. A user that has access to a license key and has manually activated an account or device outside of the company profile (Which is one of the reasons we are phasing out license keys)
2. A user has access to an activation link and activated it to a separate account.
There is no way for a user to leave the company and take the license with them unless they already had the key or link as leaving a company profile removes all licenses.
Of course, you can contact our support team via phone or ticket and we can confirm if there is any activations outside of your company profile like this.
Although we may or may not be able to tell you the ID or account in this case, we can replace the license key to secure your system if needed.
All the best,Scotty
Hi to all,
we also have a premium license and have clashed several times with the inability to determine exactly who is occupying our channels. The list that @Scotty said indicates the IDs of the devices that have authorized access to our channels, but do not report exactly the user that was used to do so. It is certainly possible that this contact is not among ours, but what is clear is that the access was performed with valid credentials and with a user admitted and present in our management console. What may have happened is that this user has transferred his credentials to a third party; the act should be voluntary, given that each access through a new device receives a request for prior validation. So the behavior is malicious. In this case, however, it is necessary to intervene internally to order, indicating to its users the usage policies that we intend to establish.
I do not think it is useful to go ahead with the request to TeamViewer to provide the IP of the device used; even if we managed to get it, we need a bureaucratic procedure to trace the exact user and if the use did not involve crimes, but only an illicit occupation of ours channels, the operation could be expensive.
The delay in displaying connection reports is real, but I know that TeamViewer is working on it and in July has released an implementation in order to improve the querying of data when these are in the order of miles throughout the day.
In our case, to solve a similar problem, we examined a limited time frame and the next day compared users from the management console. To these we closed the account, creating a new one. Preventively, to all, we have formally indicated our policies for the correct use of the TeamViewer tool inside our company.
It's just my opinion.
Regards.
This is very convoluted for something that should be a core function (due to licencing being based off it).
So there is no way for me to see all the users (and their names) currently using a licence connection?
The Corporate functionality is based off these features, that is correct. However this does not mean that all users are meant to have access to or be able to see the logins of all other users.
As an admin, it is very easy to add users to your contacts list as they do not even need to confirm the addition.
However if you do not have the person in your contacts list, unfortunately there is no other way to identify them by name.

Hi,
Was there any answer to this?
This is very annoying and seems ridiculous that we can't identify the actual users accounts that are actively using teamviewer.
Corporate licencing is based off these connections, so should be basic functionality
Regards,Tim
I'm sure quite a few of us have had the issue where all the channels are in use but when you check in TeamViewer to see which ones are in use, they are not always correct or possibly behind. I think a managment tool created just for seeing exsisting connections coming in and out from you company member would be a great idea. This could also help monitor how effiently you are currently using the licenses you are paying for, with this infromation you increase or decrease the amount you want or need. Being able to terminate connections from the management console for when people leave them open or ghost sessions. I think this would make Teamviewer a much better product for companies managing numerous different users and connections. Lets make it happen...Whats your thoughts?
Hi @DanTheMan151
Let´s add it to our ideas board as a feature request for our Product Managers. May I ask you to create a new idea for this in the ideas board?
Thanks,
Esther
Is there no way of terminating sessions from the managment console? as much as you can see what channels are in use, the infromation is often incorrect or behind as it will dispay only 2 channels being used and yet you can't create any new connections. I asked a tech from teamviewer over the phone if this could be a custom job and pay for it and he said no
Hi @Help-MF
Did you already check the channel use under Help --> About TeamViewer --> Channel use?
Hope that helps you.
Best, Esther
How to get up-to-date information about the current usage of my channels?
As we use channel groups we want to identify, which channel hasn't currently no license available. The "monthly" email (Teamviewer service hint) from teamviewer about how many connections can't be established within the past weeks doesn't help (isn't enough).
Have Corporate License 3 channels, get error about too many users but only see two in channel use list? Seems like my organisation can only use two channels at a time? Whats the deal?
Good morning, I need to know if there is a way to see who use a license of my corporate license
Is there this possibility into Management Consolle?
Thank
Where can I found lsit of active session (remote desktop) and for ex. close connection for specific session of teramviewer remote desktop?
Scotty,
The flaw in this is that the 3 users from our company who are using teamviewer are not in my contact list, as I have not connected to them.
Is it possible to show the login details of the person using the teamviewer ID, then I can track them down and disable them if required.
Thanks
Mark
I want to terminate Teamviewer channel used by other users if I need to take a remote session in case of emergency.
Dear TeamViewer Support,Can you please help me figure out how to view Channel Use?When I click Help->About->Channel Use, it always comes up blank, even when the techs sitting right next to me are activally connected to end users. We are looking to deploy TeamViewer to more people outside of IT for training purposes. And we need to be able to see channel usage to determine if we need to buy more licenses, or if we can get by with what we have. Is there any way to run a report on Channel Usage? Thanks,Chris
We are seeing a connection from Varna(Bulgaria)in our Active connection list. We are no where near Bulgaria neither we use a VPN that could make this happen.
We have reset our password but the connection keeps showing up. Is there anyway we can gather more information about this suspicious connection?
Thank you
is there a way to send an email notification each time a user connects to a machine? i suspect there is but cant seem to find the option anywhere.
PS. if i were to chose between email when no channels available vs email when a connection is made is much more useful since i get the "no sessions available" when attempting to connect anyway
Can I close all the current idle sessions of my corporate account?
Dear jlrecarte,
Thank you for your post.
You can always check how many of your channels are taken in the main window of your TeamViewer client via "Help > About TeamViewer > Channel use" (available on Windows computers). In the new window that opens, TeamViewer will display the IDs that are having a session at that moment.
If you feel that you only have one channel at your disposal, did you maybe create channel groups within your company profile in the Management Console? Channel groups will allow you to assign one or several channels to a specific group of users. Those channels will only be available to the users belonging to that group. This may explain why some of your users only have access to one channel, even though your licence actually includes three of them. You will find the channel groups in the Management Console by clicking on your display name in the upper right-hand corner and selecting "Administer [company name]".
I hope this information helps. If you have any further questions or if there are any inconsistencies, please do not hesitate to let me know. You are of course also welcome to contact our customer care team directly:

I write from Virgin Active company. We have accorded a corporate license and we can only use 1 channel license despite of corporate license has 3 corporate channels. It occurs since last week or a couple of weeks
What can be solved by? And not with an order of extra channels
I was just looking around for something else and found EXACTILY what you are looking for!
If you log into the managment console as a Company Administrator
click on your profile pic in the upper right hand corner of the console
Click Administer *your company name here*
You will get a screen that shows all of the TeamViewer Products you have Licensed, In my case the top line is Corporate.
Click the Gear to the right side of the screen for your Team Viewer License
Click Edit
Then at the botom of that screen you will see "Email notification. Click the box below and select the users you want to receive emails if the channel limit is hit.
I am unaware of an automatic method of checking this, but I know in version 12 if you go to Help>About TeamViewer there is a link for "channel use" that will report everyone using TV at that moment. Also in TV 12 there is great reporting online. I am pretty sure most of the reporting online was there for TV11 as well.
Hello,
I would like to know if there is a possibility to get notified (either by email or by API/webtrap etc) when channel is being active.
currently we have 3 channels as part of our licenses and i would like the information in order to get a decision on addon channels.
Thank you,
snsilvernet
