Downloadable Teamviewer with Password

Options

Currently when clients download teamviewer using our custom URL https://get.teamviewer.com/mft59f5 they have to go through the installation process which requests what type of installation and what password to configure to allow remote connections. Is there any way that this can be built in so that our clients only have to run the installer and everything else is ticked and filled out automatically?

    Hi Systemnet,

    Thanks for posting :)

Unfortunately, for security reasons we do not have a Host module with a password built in. This is for security reasons as there is the potential of having a host module hidden inside another peice of software and used for malicious purposes.

However, we have two options to make this easier for you.

    • Connect to the user with QuickSupport, then upgrade them to the host with the remote install tool. (Please see our Knowledgebase Article on this)
    • Use an MSI package (Corporate License holders only)
-The MSI package does not have a password in the .msi itself, but uses a .reg file from the same directory that has the password contained in it.

-You can download this from our download page here (you will need to be already logged into the management console or have your license key for this)

-Further instructions are in the manual contained inside the .zip file

    I hope This helps!

    -Scotty
