Ubuntu 20.04 - Teamviewer 12

Hello,
I have a licence for Teamviewer 12.
Can anybody tell me how to install this version please?
I download 64bit version from website:
https://download.teamviewer.com/download/version_12x/teamviewer_amd64.deb

sudo dpkg -i teamviewer_12.0.224194_amd64.deb
but it shows me errors:

Selecting previously unselected package teamviewer.

Errors were encountered while processing:
teamviewer

After this I see Ubuntu app in applications. If I open it, shows me error:

The teamviewer daemon is not running!
...
teamviewer --daemon start

If I run sudo teamviewer --daemon start (or without sudo):

sudo
sudo teamviewer --daemon start
systemctl start teamviewerd.service
Failed to start teamviewerd.service: Unit teamviewerd.service not found.
fail

non sudo
systemctl start teamviewerd.service
Failed to start teamviewerd.service: Unit teamviewerd.service not found.
fail

Try with root / sudo ?

Any help please? Thank you

    Hi @Scottik

As you can see in the OS compatibility list, the version you are trying to install is not supported by version 12 of the Teamviewer app.

So, you have two options in order to make it work, to change the Linux version or the Teamviewer version.

    Best regards

I feel your pain @Scottik. I bought fours licenses (including one Corporate) from Teamviewer and, after they had my money, the only thing they wanted to do was sell me an upgrade. Their support for their broken product is a total joke. I ended up buying a **Third Party Product** license because Teamviewer could never get their product to work on our Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (or Windows 10). Later, I was able to create the necessary patch to make their junk work on our systems. And with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS it looks like I may have to do that again since Teamviewer is too lazy to.
