Macbook Catalina 15.5 - Error: Connection type not allowed

We have an issue with one of our macbooks where it is unable to connect to any client no matter what we do.

Only 1 of 3 devices with the same setup has this issue.

Wiping and staging the laptop from scratch doesn't seem to help either.

There is unfortunately not a lot of info available on the error message.

If anyone encountered this issue before, i would appreciate a nudge in the right direction.

    Hello @Stijn2

Thank you for your message and welcome to the TeamViewer Community! ?

Have you allowed in the system all required parameters as explained here?

    Best regards

    Hi Jean,

We have allowed all those parameters. The laptop with this issue is actually used by IT staff, so we know it's required.

We're actually not trying to control the macbook, but rather control other devices using the macbook.

    Kind regards

    Stijn

    @Stijn2,

I recommend you to update your TeamViewer client to the latest version which is version 15.6.7:TeamViewer Mac Download for Remote Desktop access and collaboration.png

We explain how to proceed in this Knowledge Base article right here: How do I update TeamViewer?

    Best regards

Just checked our inventory tool to be 100% sure.

I compared the setup between our IT staff's macs and all 3 macbooks currently have 15.6.7 installed yet only 1 of them has the issue.

    Much appreciated regardless.
