This article applies to all TeamViewer customers with a Corporate or Tensor license using TeamViewer in version 15.21. or higher.
Supported Windows versions: Win 7, Win 8 and Win 10.
You can set up the TeamViewer MSI installation to check periodically for a new version and inform the local user when a new version is available.
This allows you to keep your TeamViewer installation up-to-date even though it was installed via MSI.
📌Note: The installation on unattended devices only works when Start TV with Windows is enabled.
Set up auto-update for your MSI installation
1.) To install the TeamViewer MSI version, navigate to the Management Console --> Design & Deploy --> Download Installer and choose the correct TeamViewer version for your device.
2.) Download and Install the MSI.
3.) Go to the advanced options via Extras --> Options --> Advanced --> Under General advanced settings --> Check for new version and Install new versions automatically, choose your preferred update cycle:
4.) Confirm your setting by clicking OK
Use TeamViewer policy for auto-updates
With TeamViewer 15.21 or higher, you can use the TeamViewer policies to check for new versions and install new versions automatically also for TeamViewer MSI.
