<p>Data flow of sensor metrics</p><p>To use sensors make sure <a href="https://community.teamviewer.com/English/kb/articles/109820-enable-the-edge-management" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">TeamViewer Edge Management is enabled</a>.</p><p>Three basic steps are needed to integrate sensors into your IoT Solution:</p><ol><li>Connect a sensor physically to your edge device (for example, see <a href="https://community.teamviewer.com/English/kb/articles/109879-connect-the-sensors-to-the-starter-kit" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">Connect the Sensors to the Starter Kit</a>).</li><li><a href="https://community.teamviewer.com/English/kb/articles/109839-add-sensors-with-easy-setup" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">Assign the sensor (and its metrics) to your TeamViewer Account</a>.</li><li>Use sensor metrics for monitoring (e.g. <a href="https://community.teamviewer.com/English/kb/articles/109860-widgets" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">widgets</a>) and/or to <a href="https://community.teamviewer.com/English/kb/articles/109852-rules-alarms-and-notifications" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">set alerts and notifications</a>.</li></ol><p>Sensor metrics and data are handled as defined by the TeamViewer IoT <a href="https://community.teamviewer.com/English/kb/articles/109884-teamviewer-iot-agent-mqtt-api" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">MQTT API</a>. You will need to then push your sensor data as specified in the <a href="https://download.teamviewer-iot.com/docs/agentapi/index.html?&_ga=2.189868584.2061074140.1679400704-933174053.1679400704#api-Metric-Sensor_Send_sensor_data" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">MQTT API Push Metric Values</a> section to visualize it in real-time.</p><p><br></p><h3></h3>
