Transitions are the links between Step Templates and Components that are used to create workflows.

Transitions are essential for the sequence within the workflow. They can be defined from the four center points of the rectangular steps to another step’s center points.

To add a transition between steps, simply hover over the source step and drag one of the black dots that appear on its edges to draw a line to the target step.

Note: For the workflow to be published, no step should be left out without a transition.

Transition Shortcut Panel

This panel enables users to access and configure the connection types for transitions. There are four basic options in the Transition Shortcut Panel. You can view them after clicking on the Question Mark before they are configured, or by clicking on the transition itself.

1. Gesture-based Connection:

Transitions can be defined via different gestures (e.g., Return, Continue). These gestures can be configured on the right side, in the Configuration Panel, under Button Trigger options. Button Trigger can be managed by the Plus and Trash icons next to them.

To add gesture-based connections:

  1. Click on the Question Mark to select the transition.

Note: The Question Mark is only visible if no transition has been defined. Once a transition has been defined, it will not be visible.

2. Hover over the Gesture icon.

3. Mark the checkbox you want to choose as the button.

4. Optional: Add a new button name by entering a name into the text field.

5. Optional: Press Enter.

⇒ The added button is marked automatically.

Note: When users define a gesture-based connection, a speech-based connection for the same button is added automatically.

2. Speech-based connection:

Allows users to define speech commands for the connection. New speech commands can be added via the Microphone icon.

To add speech commands to the specific transition:

  1. Select the transition.
  2. Hover over the Microphone icon.
  3. Enter the New speech command into the text field.

3. Timed connection:

  1. Select the transition.
  2. Hover over the Clock icon.
  3. Define the time in the number of seconds you want the transition to be triggered (default: 5 seconds).
  4. Press Enter.

Note: The added time transitions can be updated by the same process.

4. Delete connections:

Allows users to delete the transition between the templates.

  1. Select the transition.
  2. Click on the Trash icon to delete the transition.
