This month’s release includes exciting updates to TeamViewer Tia, supporting the diagnosis and resolution of issues with more detailed capabilities; new settings for Active Connections for TeamViewer Tensor; updates on custom QuickSupport; and company profile settings.
Tia Troubleshooting: Smarter support with Diagnose and Resolve modes
What changed
Tia now offers enhanced troubleshooting capabilities during remote sessions, helping support teams move beyond AI-assisted guidance to diagnostics and issue resolution directly within TeamViewer.
Tia now supports three troubleshooting modes:
- Advise mode provides a conversational experience that assists IT experts during support sessions. This mode remains available by default.
- Diagnose mode provides real-time, read-only access to the remote device, allowing Tia to analyze issues using troubleshooting tools and scripts without making any changes.
- Resolve mode enables Tia to resolve issues directly on the device. Every system-changing action requires explicit approval before execution, keeping the Supporters in full control.
Administrators can assign these capabilities through Admin settings -> TeamViewer AI -> Tia Troubleshooting, allowing organizations to define which users can access which troubleshooting modes.
The remote device must be managed by the company and run the TeamViewer Automation Client. Customers who do not yet have the Automation Client deployed can roll it out directly through the Tia Troubleshooting settings, either company-wide, to selected device groups, or to specific devices.
Organizations can also apply governance controls by restricting Tia capabilities on selected devices, helping protect sensitive environments such as executive devices, production servers, operational technology systems, or devices subject to regulatory requirements.
Tia Troubleshooting is available for TeamViewer Premium, Corporate, Tensor, and TeamViewer ONE & Advanced customers. It can be used in both desktop and web client.
AI Credit Consumption
For users assigned the new Live Diagnostic and End-to-End Resolution packages, AI credit consumption during support sessions is now based on conversation size. Please note that these are subject to change.

Why it matters
Tia Troubleshooting helps support teams resolve technical issues faster by providing AI-assisted guidance, diagnostics, and remediation capabilities within the same support session. Supporters can move from identifying a problem to fixing it without constantly switching between tools, thereby reducing digital friction and improving efficiency.
At the same time, administrators retain full control over how Tia is used across the organization. Access to troubleshooting modes can be managed centrally, system-changing actions require explicit approval, and organizations can restrict Tia on sensitive devices when additional governance is required.
To support auditing and compliance requirements, all Tia troubleshooting activities are captured in session records and Session Insights, providing visibility into actions performed during support sessions.

Active Connections: Real-time visibility into ongoing remote sessions
What changed
Admins and authorized users can now view active remote connections across their organization in real time through the new Active Connections feature available in the web client.
When enabled, users with the View active connections permission can see all currently active connections involving company members, including who is connected, the type of connection, and how long the session has been running.
Existing company administrators automatically receive this permission and can modify access as needed:
This feature is available for Tensor Basic, Tensor Pro, Tensor Unlimited, Tensor Support and TeamViewer ONE Standard & Advanced customers.
Why it matters
Active Connections provides organizations with greater visibility into ongoing remote activity, helping administrators maintain oversight across their environment. Teams can quickly identify long-running connections, monitor active support sessions, and follow up when unexpected activity is detected.
The feature also strengthens security and auditing capabilities by making it easier to investigate potential security concerns and spot unauthorized or unusual connection activity. With real-time insight into who is connected, where they are connected, and for how long, organizations can respond faster when action is required while maintaining greater operational awareness across the company.

TeamViewer company profile settings
What changed
Admins can now configure additional company profile settings to better control the TeamViewer experience across their organization. New settings allow admins to disable TeamViewer Chat for all users within the company profile and turn off in-product marketing content.
These settings are available through both the web client and desktop for our Tensor Basic, Tensor Pro, Tensor Unlimited, and Tensor Support customers. The option to disable Chat is also available for TeamViewer ONE Standard & Advanced customers.
Why it matters
These new company-wide controls give administrators more flexibility to tailor TeamViewer to their organization's needs. By managing which features and content are available to users, businesses can create a more focused experience, reduce distractions, and ensure TeamViewer aligns with internal workflows.

Custom QuickSupport: Assign branding at company, user, or legacy group level
What changed
Admins can now configure Custom QuickSupport at different levels within their organization. Custom QuickSupport can be assigned at the company, user, or legacy device group level, providing greater flexibility when managing branded support experiences.
When multiple configuration exist, the following hierarchy applies:
Legacy device group > User > Company
This feature is available for connections to Windows devices through both the TeamViewer Remote desktop and web client, and is available for Business, Premium, Corporate, and TeamViewer ONE Standard & Advanced customers.
Why it matters
This enhancement helps organizations deliver a more consistent and professional support experience while providing greater flexibility for different customers, teams, or use cases. By allowing Custom QuickSupport configurations at multiple levels, businesses can maintain branding consistency where needed while applying specialized configurations for specific scenarios.
In addition, organizations can strengthen security by enforcing settings such as Conditional Access, allow-lists, and disclaimers through their Custom QuickSupport configuration, helping ensure support sessions align with company policies.
