The TeamViewer Host app for Android allows for remote control of unattended Android devices, ensuring access to the device even when no one is nearby.

The custom Android Host app allows for more customization, including the ability to add your own company logo, custom colors, and personalized text. Devices using the custom Android Host app are automatically added to the correct groups upon installation.

This article applies to all TeamViewer customers with a Corporate or Tensor license.

How to create a custom Android Host app

1. Log in to the Management Console with your licensed account. Select Design & Deploy on the left, and from the + drop-down at the top select Android Host.

2. Set a name for the custom app and the desired group the devices should reside in. Select Save to finalize the creation.

A configuration link will be displayed. You can also customize the extension of the URL by clicking the pencil icon to the right of the URL.

How to Install a custom Android Host app

Once the custom Android Host app is created, you can share the link with any desired users. Once received, they simply load the URL in their browser by clicking the link.

If the TeamViewer Host app is already installed: The assignment of the device to the account that created the module will automatically occur and be confirmed after successful assignment.

If the TeamViewer Host app has not yet been installed: The link will prompt you to download and install the Android Host app from the Play Store. Upon installation of the app, return to the configuration link and open it again. The assignment of the device to the account that created the module will automatically occur and will be confirmed after successful assignment.
