</div><p>📌Please note that we always need the log files of <strong>both</strong> connection partners. Additionally, we need the approximate time when the problem occurred.</p><p><strong>The easiest way to find the log files is using TeamViewer's built-in method, as follows:</strong></p><p><br></p><h3 data-id="-1"></h3><h2 data-id="windows-or-macos">Windows or macOS</h2><ol><li>Open the TeamViewer window and click Extras --> Open Log Files.</li><li>Locate the file called "TeamViewerXX_Logfile.log", where XX is your TeamViewer version.</li><li>If there is also a file called "TeamViewerXX_Logfile_OLD.log", please include this too.</li></ol><p> </p><h3 data-id="-2"></h3><h2 data-id="linux">Linux</h2><p>On Linux, the log files are collected and placed into a ZIP file from the command line. <ul><li>Option II - If you do not see any data in the saved file, just copy and paste the console logs to any text editor (for example, Notepad) and save it as a text file.</li></ul><p><br></p><h3 data-id="-9"></h3><h2 data-id="safari">Safari</h2><p><strong>Prerequisite</strong>: Enable Apple Safari Develop menu. By default, the <strong>Develop </strong>menu in Safari is disabled. To enable it, open the Safari menu and choose <strong>Preferences </strong>option --> Advanced --> Put a checkmark for <strong>Show Develop</strong> menu --> Make sure that you see the <strong>Develop </strong>menu between the<em> Windows menus</em> and the <em>Bookmarks</em>.</p><p>Close the <strong>Preferences</strong>. The <strong>Develop</strong> menu should now appear in the menubar.</p><div class="embedExternal embedImage display-large float-none">

Before saving the logs, put a checkmark for <strong>Preserve Log (1)</strong>, make sure<strong> </strong>that you have selected filter for <strong>All (2) </strong>and click the <strong>Clear log (3)</strong> button, as shown below:</p><div class="embedExternal embedImage display-large float-none">
