<p><br></p><p>You can deploy the TeamViewer Host (version 13.2 or above) and the TeamViewer full version (version 14 and above) via GPO in combination with MSI and parameters.</p><p>Please remember that you must follow the steps shown in the following article <strong>when working in Orca: </strong><a href="https://community.teamviewer.com/English/kb/articles/39639-mass-deployment-on-windows-overview" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">Mass deployment on Windows - Overview</a></p><p>📌<strong>Note: </strong>Please be aware that deploying <strong>MST via GPO</strong> might work but is <strong>not a supported method.</strong></p><div class="blockquote"><div class="blockquote-content"><p class="blockquote-line"><em>This article applies to all TeamViewer customers with a </em><a href="https://service.teamviewer.com/en-de/overview" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc"><em>Corporate</em></a><em> or </em><a href="https://www.teamviewer.com/teamviewer-tensor/" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc"><em>Tensor</em></a><em> license</em>.</p></div></div><p><br></p><h3></h3><h2 data-id="requirements">Requirements</h2><p>To be able to deploy via GPO, you need to create the required .MST file. To do this, you must install <strong>Microsoft Orca</strong>.</p><p>Microsoft Orca can be found here: <a href="https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/msi/orca-exe" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">Orca.exe - Win32 apps | Microsoft Learn</a></p><p>It is recommended to download the ISO file, as it allows you to either extract and install or install <strong>orca.msi</strong> after opening the ISO.</p><p><br></p><h3 data-id="-1"></h3><h2 data-id="how-to-deploy-teamviewer-via-gpo">How to deploy TeamViewer via GPO</h2><h3 data-id="steps-to-be-done-in-orca">Steps to be done in Orca</h3><ol><li>Once installed, open <strong>Microsoft Orca</strong> and load the <strong>TeamViewer_Host.msi</strong>. Click <strong>Transform</strong> ➜ <strong>New Transform</strong></li><li>Click on the <strong>Property</strong> tab.</li><li>Double-click the properties to adjust each. Right-click and select <strong>add row</strong> to add more parameters. All necessary parameters must be added <em>(e.g. CUSTOMCONFIGID, APITOKEN, ASSIGNMENTOPTIONS, etc.).</em></li><li>Once all parameters are added, navigate to the Transform pane (at the top) and generate the transformation.</li></ol><p><strong>⚠IMPORTANT:</strong> for more information about parameters, see here: <a href="https://community.teamviewer.com/English/kb/articles/109284-assignment-options-5-6" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">Assignment options</a></p><p><br></p><h3 data-id="adding-the-mst-file-to-the-gpo-config">Adding the MST file to the GPO config</h3><p>When adding the MSI package to the GPO please choose the MST file by following the steps below;</p><ol><li>Open the <strong>group policy object</strong> editor.</li><li>Expand <strong>Computer Configuration </strong>➜<strong> Software Settings.</strong></li><li>From the Right-Click menu, select <strong>Software Installation </strong>➜<strong> New </strong>➜<strong> Package...</strong></li><li>Point to the TeamViewer_Host.msi file.<ul><li>📌<strong>Note</strong>: The path to the TeamViewer_Host.msi and MST file must not be local or through a network drive. Rather, the path should be through a network share accessible from everywhere in your network to which everyone has at least Read permissions.</li></ul></li><li>Under <strong>Deployment Method</strong>, choose <strong>Advanced.</strong> If you choose another option, <strong>you won't be able to apply the MST file you created.</strong></li><li>Add a name for the package for easy identification (e.g. TeamViewer Host).</li><li>Switch to the Modifications tab and click <strong>Add.</strong></li><li>Point to the correlating MST file. Again, it is very important to use <strong>a UNC</strong> to the file (to the network share), rather than a <strong>local/network drive path</strong>.</li></ol><p> Once completed, deployment is ready.</p>
