Same issue - Windows 11 laptop. AMD Radeon graphics. Sometimes I get it to show if I toggle the View mode (Optimize speed / quality). If I press the start menu, I cannot see any contents, even if I swap display modes. In the Personalization screen - when I scroll, the contents do not change. If I select refresh screen - it…

Unfortunately, it's nearlky 1 1/2 years since I reported the exact driver change that caused the issue, but it's still not fixed.

Congradulations!. This probelm has now surpassed it's 1 year anniverasry. Still not fixed.

I appreciate your sentiment. While it is free for personal use, I am a paying user. My issue is that it this has been a problem since April of 2017. So, for nearly 9 months now, the black screen has not worked with recent NVidia drivers (after 378.92 3-20-17). I get better performance with recent drivers. It is getting…

@ThePern wrote:<SNIP> Minimize, then hover and right-click on the taskbar icon, choose Maximize) Good luck! This works for me as well. No neded to hide the task bar. At least it's a workaround.

@jntrup239825 wrote:@JLE <snip> I am surprised this passed TeamViewer beta testing being such an obvious bug, I guess that leaves in question how much testing is actually done before calling it a final product. This was not a problem with the beta. The problem reared it's ugly head in the release version.

@PaulB wrote:Hey Frank Try updating to the latest version - I think they have fixed it now. It worked for me anyway so I am happy. Paul Sadly, not for me with recent NVidia drivers.

I was contacted by support. They are taking this seriously, they simply need more information to fully understand the issue. I am working with them.

I also am working with support. They didn't seem to beleive me at first, but we'll get them convinced. My screens are 1920 x 1200

Please see the message here: https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/TeamViewer-12/Black-screen-not-working-Windows-10/td-p/8940 Install NVidia Driver ver. 378.92 (3-20-17) or older. Versions 381.65 - 385.28 do not allow the black screen to work.

TeamViewer support has been good at working with me, but I did some testing on my own. I decided to check my NVidia display driver. A new update was available - but it got me thinking. So after allot of testing... the later display drivers do not allow the black screen to work. I have two DisplayPort monitors. NVidia…

I have the issue on at least 2 computers. On one (HDMI), uninstalling the driver, then uninstalling TeamViewer, then reinstalling it all fixed it. On the other with DisplayPort and 2 monitors, it did not help. I have a ticket in.

Another thread about this is here. https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/TeamViewer-12/Black-screen-not-working-Windows-10/m-p/10898/highlight/false#M5925

I just found that it's not blanking on my work computer either. HDMI input on this one.

I see the problem too. dual monitors - display port. I only found out because I was told that I could be seen working. So, I set up my camera to face the screen. Problem verified.

Unfortunately, I cannot connect via RDP to my remote computers because of the firewalls. Has anyone who consistently has this issue submitted a bug report? It happens too rarely for me to duplicate the issue. Yet, I cannot take the chance of moving my company to TV if it starts happening on a computer 2000 miles away.

For me the problem is so sporadic, that I can't really comment on solutions. I haven't seen the error since my last report.

It's happened twice today. Both times I was in a session when the mouse and keyboard ignored inputs - that is when problem started. The second time, I tried only killing the local services. It didn't help, I needed to reboot the remote system too. Now I enabled remote desktop so that I may try more actions in the future.

I've had this issue a couple of times. Today, the solution was different. I have a power controller at the remote computer. I can power-cycle it if needed. I did that today and it did not solve the issue. When I tried to connect after the power cycle, I got a "You've trieds to connect too many times..." . SInce the…
