It is possible to install the TeamViewer Frontline Command Center on-premise instead of running it in the cloud. This has several advantages and disadvantages, please contact TeamViewer support or your TeamViewer sales representative to get more info about the available options.

Email configuration

Note: Only required for on-premise Installations

By default, Frontline offers multiple features (like a call invitation via email) that are email-based. To be able to use them, an email account is required with the corresponding email server being reachable from the machine hosting the Frontline Command Center.

Web browser

The TeamViewer application server user interface is based on HTML5 and is compatible with most modern web browsers. We currently support the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome 110.0 or later Preferred reference browser for best user experience
  • Microsoft Edge Any Chromium-based version
  • Mozilla Firefox 110.0 or later
  • Chrome Portable 110.0 or later Doesn't require installation

Mobile browser

Mobile browser support is restricted to xAssist In-Call experience of Guest users. We currently support the following browsers:

  • iOS 16.0 or higher | Safari 16.0 or later Camera and Microphone permissions must be granted manually in the Website settings
  • iOS 16.0 or higher | Google Chrome 110.0 or later
  • Android 7.0 or higher | Google Chrome 110.0 or later

Hardware requirements

The actual requirements depend on the actual use cases and the usage of functions that e.g. require a lot of disk space like to record and store xAssist Sessions. For a pilot, these are our typical recommendations – within the pilot, we then can then evaluate if your use case requires e.g. more disk space.

Demo server system requirements

  • Suitable for demoing the solution with up to 5 users:
    • 2GHz Dual Core CPU
    • 4GB available memory
    • HDD with 50GB available disk space

Production server system requirements

  • Suitable for production systems with up to 50 users:
    • 2GHz Quad Core CPU
    • 8GB available memory
    • SSD with 50GB available disk space

These are the minimum specs to run Frontline. You will need to add to this if you plan to run other applications on the same server.

  • Suitable for production systems with up to 500 users:
    • 2GHz Quad Core CPU preferable Hexa or Octa Core CPU
    • 8GB available memory
