In this article, you will learn how to use and benefit from the connection dashboard in connections to a mobile device (Android and iOS).

This article applies to all TeamViewer (Classic) users connecting to mobile devices (Android and iOS).

Requirements

To be able to use the connection dashboard in connections to mobile devices, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • You are connecting to a mobile device from a desktop PC. Please make sure to use the latest version of TeamViewer (Classic).
  • You are a private user or you own a license valid for Mobile Device Support.
  • For the supporting device:
    • You are making connections from a Windows, Mac or Linux (Linux= only version 12 currently)
  • For the supported device
    • You have installed the latest TeamViewer Host version for Android on your Android device.
    • You have installed the latest TeamViewer QuickSupport version on your iOS or Android. More information about the supported operating systems can be found here.

📌Notes:

  • Connections are limited to a maximum of five minutes each for private users.
  • Connections to Windows phone devices are generally possible, but no dashboard is shown.

How to connect to a mobile device

  • To connect to a mobile device, type in the ID stated on the mobile device when opening the TeamViewer QuickSupport app into the Partner ID field underneath and click Connect.
  • Alternatively, you can type in the ID in the Partner ID field on top of the application (see screenshot below).
  • Your connection partner will receive a confirmation prompt on the mobile device, which they need to allow to make the connection happen.

iOS

The following features are available in all views (Dashboard, Screensharing, Screenshot, Settings)

  • File transfer: Send files from the computer to the mobile device or vice versa
  • Chat: Chat between the user on the mobile device and the supporter on the computer
  • Clipboard: Write a text on the computer and send it into the clipboard of the mobile device
  • Nudge: Send a request to the mobile device to get the users attention - text and audio

The following features are available in the Apps view: You can see all apps installed on the mobile device incl. information about. You can uninstall those apps via the dashboard, but the user on the mobile device needs to confirm this uninstallation.
