Difficulties with the forum - links and option menu

Dunno if anyone else if having difficulties with the forum? I'm unable to post links, or click on the 3 little dots in the corner of my posts to edit the post/show options?

Yes. This is true.
Temporary try to post URL Link as a "Code" I mean  </>  button on editor toolbar.

Re: Difficulties with the forum - links and option menu

Hi bjblackmore,

to post a link, just click in the message editor on the link- icon and hide the link behind a word:

Insert link - TeamViewer Community.png

 It looks like this:

Insert Link 2 - TeamViewer Community.png

And so it will be shown like this link to the TeamViewer homepage.

Regarding the 3 dots on top: What happens, when you click on the 3 dots?

Thank you and I hope, this answer is helpful.

Re: Difficulties with the forum - links and option menu

I'm not even getting the editor toolbar! I just get Rich text, HTML and Preview. However clicking on any of them clears what I've written in the text box! Try these: h.t.t.p:// 4sysops dot com /archives/get-adcomputer-display-computers-in-ou-or-ad-group-with-powershell/ or: w.w.w powershelladmin dot com /wiki/Getting_computer_names_from_AD_using_Powershell Script: Import-Module ActiveDirectory Get-ADComputer -Filter * | Select -Expand Name | Export-Csv c:\AdExport.txt

Re: Difficulties with the forum - links and option menu

Hi Ester, I don't even see the editor tool bar, all I get is the message box with Rich Text, HTML and Preview (clicking on either of these clears what I've written in the message box. If I try to post a link I get an error: photo TeamViewerForumError.jpgClicking on the 3 little dots in the top right hand corner of a post just jumps the browser up to the top of the page. no menu is shown.

Re: Difficulties with the forum - links and option menu

Can you give it a try and click on "Rich Text" instead of "HTML"?

Do you have the options there?

Re: Difficulties with the forum - links and option menu

OFF TOPIC REMARK: The edit feature is very important for me as my english is not well, and I still often use GoogleTranslator , and very often want to edit to fix some typos or wording.

Re: Difficulties with the forum - links and option menu

@Esther

It seems to be working better now. Although for the past hour or 2 I haven't been able to login, to reply. Whenever I tired, it was just going around in circles.

I can post links & upload pictures now, and I can see the editor tool bar buttons above the text box.

And the 3 little dots in the top right of a post now give me a menu, allowing me to edit posts and other options.

Test

TeamViewer-Forum.JPG

Was getting very frustrating for a while there, as I couldn't login to reply or alert anyone!
