Master Account change

Hi,

I work for a small IT Company that uses TeamViewer to support multiple machines on multiple sites. After whatever caused the ID's to change it updated an old client list we had linked to a master account we no longer have access to as the admin left but it didn't update our new list of contacts. Is there any way to update our list and change them to a new master account with out physically accessing every machine as that is impossible for us.

Please Advise :smileyhappy:

Re: Master Account change

Dear Nosliw,

thanks for your post.

Based on global cooperation against malicious cyber activities, TeamViewer’s team and leading security researchers perform regular threat prevention analysis to identify inconsistent or suspicious behaviour within and beyond its network. In this context, in-depth data analysis revealed patterns of connection attempts that deviated from expected usage scenarios of TeamViewer. As this observation was limited to a small subgroup of endpoints,TeamViewer decided to invalidate and automatically reassign unique identifiers (TeamViewer IDs) within this subgroup.

In the vast majority of cases, users will not take notice or experience any inconvenience from the precautionary measure as the computer & Contact list should update automatically. We are very sorry if this change hasn't applied to you account.

Maybe you are able to access the old account which has been updated by reactivating the respective email address. If you have access to the email account, you can reset the password for the login of your former colleague.

In case this is not possible, you need to update the computer & contact list manually by adding the new IDs.

I hope this explanation has helped you understanding why the ID switch has taken place.
