Someone took control of my computer and tried to access my stored passwords.

Past thursday I was using my computer and all of a sudden I got an incoming connection which took control of my computer. The person minimized the screens I was working with and then opened a chrome tab and typed chrome://settings/passwords, took a look without clicking anything (I guess it's because I don't have many saved passwords here) and then disconnected. The whole connection lasted about 1 or 2 minutes. According to the log, the remote control started at 16:55:27, at 16:55:33 an audio server was created (which I think it means they accessed my microphone) at 16:55:35 "first fullscreen grab".

The connections_incoming.txt file shows that the user who connected is named: "Teamviwer Support" (Yes, with the typo).

Has anyone else experienced something like this? How did this happen?

    Hi @DanielMartinez

Thanks for your post. I am sorry to hear that happened to you!

As a TeamViewer connection is only possible if the TeamViewer ID and the password is known, I recommend the following:

    1. Change the TeamViewer password for unattended access. Learn how.
    2. Change the random password if you have not already. Learn how.
    3. Inform the police and file the case

For the case you set up Easy access, please check if the correct TeamViewer account has the permission.

I hope this info will help you.

    Thanks and best,

    Esther
