TeamViewer.exe Entry Point Not Found

Hi-

I just installed TeamViewer 13 on a PC running Windows XP.  XP is needed to run an OEM software package.

Anyway, the forums suggest TV-13 is the perferred version to run with XP.

When I try to start TV, I get a dialog box that says:

TeamViewer Entry Point Not Found:

The procedure entry point GetLogicalPRocessorInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernel32.dll.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Gary

  • Hi-

I'm answering my own question. I googled "Entry Point Not Found" and saw that other applications besides TeamViewer experience this same problem.

The responses from different forums were all over the place with app- specific comments and sometimes conflicting advice.

One comment that came up often is to make sure that the version of XP you are running has Service Pack 3.  Mine did not.

I got a copy of XP SP3 from my IT group today and TeamViewer now works!

This worked for me and I hope you have the same luck.

I'd prefer not to have to use XP, but that is what my tool vendor requires, so I'm stuck with it.

    Good luck.
