Unable to log on

I have been using TeamViewer for personal use to log on to a remote computer for several months.  It has worked okay and I have set up a connection to the remote computer, but today for no reason it logged me off and I am unable to log back on.  It says there is no internet connection, or I must be using a proxy server.  I do not understand why it has been working for months and suddenly I am no longer able to use it, log in or find the remote connection I set up. Nothing has changed between yesterday and today. My internet is working fine.   I spent the last hour searching for a solution and there is nothing to help me figure out why this is happening.  I gave up and just tried to set up a new account, but my email is associated with the old account that no longer works.  Does anyone know how to make this work?  Thanks.
