Ask Hotnet to change your IP address to an Israeli address. Solved for me after a few days of investigation.
TeamViewer seem to block those certain addresses for some reason.

Esther,
Please update your team that certain IP addresses from the Israeli provider HOTnet cannot reach your servers. The addresses start with 77.*
The issue may be because those addresses were recently bought and they are originally French addresses and not Israeli.

Yes, Ask for a new IP address. One that is not starting with 77.* And "Israeli" (such as HOTnet 5.*) since some websites mis-detect those addresses as if they were from France. This solves the problem immediately.

On my T-Mobile Android phone (United States), I changed the Access Point Names settings so I could receive an IPv4 address instead of a IPv6 address. However, after changing the the APN protocol setting to IPv4 (default Network Name of fast.t-mobile.com), I could not access the Internet. Changing it back gave me Internet access again, but I could still not access Teamviewer.

In order for me to get an IPv4 adddress I added a new APN (using the instructions listed here: http://www.tmobileapnsettings.net/), but I set the APN Protocol setting to IPv4 instead of 'IPv6' or 'IPv4/IPv6'. I was able to connect to the Internet just fine. And I was able to connect to Teamviewer just fine.

Does this mean that on mobile, the phone requires an IPv4 address to connect to Teamviewer?

Disclaimer: I don't know if adding a new APN and/or changing the IP address from IPv6 to IPv4 will break the connections of other apps.

I was just reading the forum in a hoppe that problem will get a global solution. But it looks to be a wrong expectation.

I am from Moldova, our IP is [IP removed]. I did everything you've recommended, but nothing worked. Could you please investigate our case also?

If you are on HOTnet, ask them to change your IP address to one which doesn't start with 77.* And ask for an Israeli address

It seems ONLY Mac has this problem. My Mac Mac book, and iPhone cannot connect to your server, but my colleges' Window works fine. (Or some problems with my account?), and my Raspberry PI 3 works fine, within the same lan.

I would like to give you the latest update on the connection issues of the past days.

What was the cause of the connection issues?

The main problem was a routing problem on different carriers.

What is the current status?

  1. Italy: The connection issues are solved and all Fastweb users can use TeamViewer again.
  2. Germany: The issues are solved and all TeamViewer users can use TeamViewer again.
  3. Israel: Some customers of the HOTnet ISP are still having issues. We are in contact with HOTnet and we hope to fix the issues together as fast as possible.
  4. China: Some customers of the Chinese ISPs are still having issues. We are in contact with the Chinese ISPs and we hope to fix the issues together as fast as possible.

Thank you all for your help and your support in providing the necessary information to find the sources of the issues.
Kudos to all of you!

With your help we were able to identify the bottlenecks and resolve the connection errors.
I am sure, that the very last connection errors will be fixed in the next few hours.

Sorry, but Germany doesn`t work.

Our Provider Telekom; Telnt works for port 80 & 443 but not for 5938; Ping and Trace are OK; restart of Teamviewer task also doesn`t helped

Can you please check whether your port 5938 is open for outgoing connections and whitelist master[1-16].teamviewer.com in your firewall. 

In addition, are you using a proxy? Please check, whether the master[1-16].teamviewer.com IPs are whitelisted.

After the testing, I has been connect my PC in Taiwan throught my cell phone successfully.

My cell phone model: OPPO R7Sf

Teamviewer version:12.1.6675

OS version: Android 5.1.1

I am in China and use China Mobile.

But,  teamviewer on my PC still can NOT connect to teamviewer server yet in Chian Hefei (through by VPN).

China Mobile only share less than 15% international bandwidth of China, sure it would be sweet if they solved this somehow, but the majority of Chinese users are still staying out of that picture.:smileywink:

I use China Telecom and still does not work. Please help to fix it ASAP. Thanks

I tried on the Andriod with China Mobile 4G, it works. But the as said, office or home internet lines are mostly not from China Mobile. It still does not work using China Telecom. @Shanghai

shanghai telecom got the same problem, but shanghai unicom didn't. Maybe the server migration of TV affected some IP network segment in china telecom.

Teamviewer shows offline. But I can connect to other websites. Maybe I connect too many computers, and they don't allow to connect too many computers if i'm a free user.

I can connect from my home network (China Telecom) without problem. But in my workshop (China Unicom), I could not connect at all!

I'm in the UK and have been getting "unable to connect" for days on Windows 10. Today I had time to have a look at it. I could ping master1.teamviewer.com ( cmd/ping 185.188.32.1) as Frank88 suggested, so I thought the problem had to be my end. I remembered I manually added the master server addresses to the Windows hosts file about 2 months ago (following another issue) - and obviously these were the "old" addresses. I removed all the old addresses from the hosts file and now all works.

Navigate to: Windows/system32/drivers/etc

right-click "hosts", select properties/edit tick "full control" for your login. Apply and OK.

open up "hosts" in notepad and remove everything below "# ::1 localhost" and save the file.

restart Teamviewer - should now connect normally.

Has this problem been solved? More and more our branches in Shanghai lose Teamviewer connections and none of them resumes since being offline. Is there a temporary solution we can use?

I am happy to share the latest updates in regards to this thread with you:

1. The connection issues in Israel are solved
2. The connection issues in China are solved

If you are still facing connection issues, please make sure, that you checked the following steps on your devices:

a. Please check:
- your Firewalls and / or Proxy Settings if any *.teamviewer.com entries are blocked
- hosts file on Windows/system32/drivers/etc whether old entries are present

b. Please make sure:
- that TeamViewer application is whitelisted
- that no *.teamviewer.com address is blocked
- that one of the ports 80, 443 or 5938 is open for outgoing connections

Chiming in from Israel too - still no connection (and I've verified that the DNS has updated).

Also, seems reasonable that if you know that there's a general problem, you should send an email to your customers..
