Disabling email verification?
Hello everyone
Is there any way to disable the email verification for new devices? I mean when you try to login to TeamViewer from a "new device" and you have to add the device to the "trusted" ones. It's very annoying, especially since it doesn't really ask you for verification on "new devices" only, just chaning your browser / clearing your browsing data on the same device requires to do the authentication every time... it's just a pain, and I don't understand why this is necessary, I mean, you DO have a two-factor authentication system for people who want it, but even if it's disabled I still have to verify via email, so basically you have to do a two-factor authentication, wheter you like it or not.

Unfortunately, this is not possible to disable. You can use 2 factor authentication instead but you will need to confirm each log in with a 6 digit ID.
You can find out more about this in our trusted devices article.
However, we know that browsers are annoying if the cookies are cleared. So if you are signed into the software, you can just sign straight into a browser without trusting or signing in again. Just click on the Page Icon in the contacts list then "Open Management Console"
I understand that you are saying that there is added security for those who want it and your security is your responsibility, so you can do what you like.However unfortunately with TeamViewer, this isn't the case and there are 2 issues with this.
- If a user were to use a weak password or use the same password in another application that then had a leak, they not only place themselves at risk but every computer they have unattended access to.
- If users accounts are breached because they re-used passwords or were not so smart with their security, many of them immediately point the blame directly at us saying "Your software is insecure!" or "TeamViewer was hacked!" which isn't the case and causes serious damage to us.
