Does changing my password affect connected devices?

When I connect a device to TeamViewer, I must enter my password. I've always been worried that changing my password will cause all the devices to disconnect and need to be re-added.

It doesn't, right?

Thanks!

    Hi @swinneyt,

    Thank yiou for your post.

As there are so many passwords with TeamViewer connections, feel free to check out All about Passwords please and to know more about the differences and functions about each password.

In order to answer your question on password, can you kindly provide additional information like which password would you like to change, and how would you like to make the connection with the password settings please.

Look forward to hearing from you soon and hope the KB article will be helpful.

    Regards

The password I want to change is my TeamViewer account pasword.

I manage my support users by granting easy access to my account on their PCs. When I do this, I am required to enter my TeamViewer account ID and password. I am worried that if I change my account password, it will somehow affect these easy access PCs, thus requiring me to re-grant access with my new account password.

I am hoping this is NOT the case, and I want to check and make sure.

    Thanks!
