Latest iOS App Update Causes: Error Commercial Use Detected

I paid for team viewerer and I added my cellphone's team viewer app ID number to my license authorize device list and has been working fine until the latest update, now on my phone I get the commerical use warning and 5 minutes forced disconnection, on my computer and ipad the team viewer license still works fine.  Please help.

    Same issue. I have two separate corporate licenses, one for TV9 and one for TV11. Both give me the same issue using my iOS app as of about a week ago. Guessing the new app update caused this. Need this fixed ASAP. Working on clients PCs 5mins at a time is ridiculous.

    Seems like a ploy to get us to upgrade to 13!  Would not support a company that does this...

    unfortunately they are just ignoring us, have you tried contacting them directly?

  • Yes I got the same error. First time I got this message since using the program.... I never had a problem before and I was just trying to connect to my home computer from

  • I reached out to their support and just got this reply....

    "Thank you for your message.

    Are you receiving these messages on the iOS application? There is currently a bug within the iOS application where it can not read older licenses. We have submitted the fix to Apple and are just waiting for it to be published.

    In the interim, if you could please provide me with the ID number of your iOS device I can manually add the license key and see if this will resolve the issue.

    The ID will be found by clicking the gear wheel in the lower right corner of the application, you will scroll all the way to the bottom and your ID will show.

  • TeamViewer 11 license here: I got the same story over the phone today. They are blaming apple for not publishing their updated app. But, something tells me there is no updated app. The guy on the phone told me they submitted the update to apple 2 months ago (yeah right...).

    If TeamViewer didn't want to deal with a perpetual license, they shouldn't have sold them that way. Forced obsolescence is NOT okay.

    We paid $1200-1500 for the team viewer 6 license a few years back, then $1000+ to upgrade to their v11 license 2, 3 years ago and then again $800 to upgrade to v12 license last year and now they want to force us into their v13 by doing something like this. Incredible... very disappointing company.

    I had the same issue.  I am trying out **Third Party Product**.  So far, it is just as fast as TeamViewer but at a much lower price point.

    Speculating the new application refresh caused this. Need this settled ASAP. Taking a shot at customers PCs 5mins at any given moment is absurd.
