Remote audio is lost

Two win 10 machines.
When I connect to my remote win10 pc to do remote deskopt things the remote system loses audio and needs to be restared to get sound to work again.
Remote sys says - No speakers or headphones are pluged in.
The remote sys uses HDMI for audio. Monitor is turned off 95% of the time.
If I do a remote start it still doesn't work. If I do a restart localy on the pc auido is there again. I don't need remote audio - just need to have audio working on remote all the time.
Any ideas how to fix this issue?? It has been going on for many years with TeamViewer on differnt systems...
