Security?

Hello

I was invited to a study from a marketing company (Leyhausen) at 07.08.18.
They send me the link how to connect to their computer.
There i filled out a questionnaire online.

My question:
I was logged-in at my Teamviewer account.
Is this safe when i have a Teamviewer session number, or can they also access my computer?
Reason for my question: The company is after 2 days not reachable via internet!!!
https://www.leyhausen.com/
Also the promo code for Amazon was not sent.
After I was ready with the questionnaire I just got the message, end of session, nothing more???

I'll appreciate your support.

    Hi Tomali,

    Thanks for your post.

In general: A TeamViewer session is only possible

    1. if the remote partner has your TeamViewer ID and the current password for your TeamViewer module or
    2. when working with a TeamViewer QuickSupport and a session code: when you confirm the incoming connection by clicking OK in the confirmation PopUp.

But you wrote that you connected to their device and so the question is: Did you ever share your TeamViewer ID and password with them? If so: Please just change your password

Please check our Knowledge Base to learn more about TeamViewer sessions or feel free to post another question in this thread, if you can´t find a solution in the Knowledge Base or the Forum..

    I hope the info helps,

    Esther

No they share their desktop and give me their password
They maybe have my ID because I was logged in
But I don’t give them my password
