Trying to help an elderly friend

Hi,

I would be grateful if someone could give me some advice. I have an elderly friend who needs help remotely, but she is not computer literate and is barely able to open e-mail.  The problem is I don't live near my friend anymore and I need to be able to install Teamviewer remotely for her.

I can't send her installation and setup instructions because 1) I don't really understand how to install it myself and 2) trying to send my friend installation instructions is just going to confuse and stress her more.

Please could someone help me with this if possible.

Thanks,

Chris

I recommend having someone else install TeamViewer for your elderly friend.

I don't want to sound mean. I work with the elderly myself. If the computer is having issues and the user is not accustomed to troubleshooting, this can lead to a lot of frustration and lost time.

Any friend, grandkid, or neighbor that can install TeamViewer to get you connected will be the best option.

Otherwise, let us know any details you have. Windows? Mac? Tablet? New? Old? Anything to help make clear, accurate instructions.

    I don't work for TeamViewer. I'm just a user.
