Updating Error, Not allowing remote access

I have updated TeamViewer to it's latest update, but whenever I attempt to gain remote access of my computer, a pop up appears saying "Important Notice: Update the remote TeamViewer".

The message says that I don't have the latest update, but when I click the "Help" button and go to "Check for Update", it says I am on the latest version of TeamViewer.

Does anyone know a solution for this?

Re: Updating Error, Not allowing remote access

Hi @navsingh

Thank you for your message.

Did you check if you have the latest version on both sides?

If yes, please uninstall TeamViewer on both sides and reinstall it afterwards.

Hope this could help. If you need any further assistance, please let me know :)

All the best,
Natascha

Re: Updating Error, Not allowing remote access

What if the remote side is not easily accessible ? I am having this issue on a machine which is 150 km away. Is there any way to circumvent TeamViewer blocking remote accesss, so that I at least install the update remotely ?

Re: Updating Error, Not allowing remote access

And what do you do when there is no one there to update the remote host?

Re: Updating Error, Not allowing remote access

Hi there,

Thank you for your posts.

If you are not able to connect to the remote host for running a remote update and if no one is there to update the host manually, the only solution ist to drive there and update it manually.

I'm sorry that there is no other solution.

Wish you a great day. Let me know, if there are any further questions.

All the best,
Natascha
