Updating Error, Not allowing remote access

I have updated TeamViewer to it's latest update, but whenever I attempt to gain remote access of my computer, a pop up appears saying "Important Notice: Update the remote TeamViewer".

The message says that I don't have the latest update, but when I click the "Help" button and go to "Check for Update", it says I am on the latest version of TeamViewer.

Does anyone know a solution for this?

What if the remote side is not easily accessible ? I am having this issue on a machine which is 150 km away. Is there any way to circumvent TeamViewer blocking remote accesss, so that I at least install the update remotely ?

    Hi,

I have the simillar situation but my remote is about 10 000km away and nobody can check/update.

    Autoupdate is enabled on remote.

When I try to connect I received the message "Reason Unknown" under "Unable to connect" message box.

    Log file shows:

  • And what do you do when there is no one there to update the remote host?

    Hi there,

    Thank you for your posts.

If you are not able to connect to the remote host for running a remote update and if no one is there to update the host manually, the only solution ist to drive there and update it manually.

I'm sorry that there is no other solution.

Wish you a great day. Let me know, if there are any further questions.

    All the best,

  • If i have to drive there to make changes the whole point of teamviewer pointless.

And what is the point of locking a user out for two minutes, pain in the arse pointless.

And it keeps asking to update, even when I have. Without a cancel box, so I have to keep opening a tab every time i use the software. Looks alike a classi case of people who write the software never have to use it, so they don't know how frustraating it all is.

WISH apple had get back to mac, but **bleep** happens, so stuck with teamviewer, the scammers choice for scamming

  • that is useless, what poor software. I will have to use another remote acess client.

  • how are you supposed to do that remotely?

  • I am not sure if it may rollback any risk of an attacker exploiting my connection.
