WOL from internet oddity

I've had wol working fine within my home network but the very odd thing is that I am able to wol and connect from remote without changing anything!!

Any ideas how this can work? Happy it does but I have not set any public/ddns and no port forward on my router!!

    In your internal network, it is an expected behavior.

    If you want to WOL from outside your network, you need a public DNS.
