Windows controlling a remote Mac, remote generates multiple windows

Help, I'm using my Windows based computer to remote access and control my mom's older MAC. It worked great when installed on her MAC yesterday but she closed the ap. When she started the ap back up today and I accessed her desktop, multiple windows were created and there seemed to be no end to their creation. Is this something anyone has seen? Thanks!
