You can only assign this device to your account if you have administrative rights and TeamViewer is installed.

TeamViewer worked great before but now it is no longer associated with my account and when I press the "Assign to account" button i receive the above message with no solution appearing to be readily available online.

Please advise.

  • Try this:
    Press Windows key
    Type in TeamViewer
    Right click on the application
    Run as administrator
    (If necessary, enter admin user data)

    Now the functions should be selectable.

    Alternative:
    Shift + right click on the application, e.g. on the desktop.
    Run as administrator

    Anyone find a solution to this..? I get the same error and i'm on a local Administrator account & am running TV as admin
