acceptable emails for white and black list

hi I am trying to connect to two different people and both come up with a notice that says that they are blacklisted.  I have no one on my blacklist and I am trying to load them into my whitelist.  When I do put in their email addresses it says that I have to put in a valid email address.  What does that mean?  these are the only email addresses I have for these people.  What should I do now, please?  thank you for your help.     Kindly check out How to set up a whitelist and select  Manually add contacts to your whitelist please. Meanwhile, please ensure that the contacts' email address is entered correctly if doing manually. Or you may consider to whitelist the TeamViewer ID via Manually add contacts to your whitelist if that is easier and simpler.
