Feature Suggestion - iOS Remote Support

I provide remote support for over 200 users and the issue I run into is not all of these users have the luxory of using Android devices; therefore, I can login to their device and see the normal system status, and they can send me screen shots, but this doesn't benefit me much because they could simply send me a text with the screen shot of each screen. Another thing that I have ran into when I try to add email accounts on iOS devices, they never seem to save. Am I missing a step or is that feature so new that its underdeveloped.  Please keep me posted.

Re: Feature Suggestion - iOS Remote Support

Hi jl,

Thank you for your post!

When connecting into a mobile device with TeamViewer, the features and functionality are different between iOS and Android Devices, as Apple does not let anyone completely remote control their devices. I have outlined the specific features for each below.

With supported Android devices you have the ability to:

  • Chat
  • View device information
  • Remote Control
  • File transfer
  • App list (Uninstall apps)
  • Process list (Stop processes)
  • Push and pull Wi-Fi settings
  • View system diagnostic information
  • Real-time screenshot of the device
  • Store confidential information into the device clipboard
  • Secured connection with 256 Bit AES Session Encoding

With iOS devices, you have the ability to:

  • Real-time screenshot of the device
  • Chat
  • View device information
  • File transfer
  • Add E-mail Account
  • Add Microsoft Exchange Account
  • Import iOS Configuration Profile
  • Push WLAN settings
  • View system diagnostic information
  • Store confidential information into the device clipboard
  • Secured connection with 256 Bit AES Session Encoding

In regards to your concern about adding/saving email accounts. Once all the information has been entered to add the email account, the end user should receive a prompt to accept the new email account on the device. The changes need to be accepted and this will ensure that the new account is saved.

Hope this helps!

All the best,

Jonathan
