Activate the auto update for your TeamViewer full version, in order to always be able to use the latest TeamViewer features.

If activated, the latest version within your major software release is installed automatically. This way, you always use the latest TeamViewer version with all its features. TeamViewer sessions to other TeamViewer versions are possible without restriction.

We recommend activating the option if you use the Remote Update possibility within remote control sessions. If deactivated, it is not possible to do a remote update for the device.

How to enable the auto update for TeamViewer

  1. Open the TeamViewer full version
  2. Click Extras --> Options.
  3. Click Advanced.
  4. Choose All updates under Install new versions automatically.

Note: This option is supported for TeamViewer 7 and later. Download the latest TeamViewer full version, to get auto updates and to use Remote Update.

Hint: The dropdown menu will be disabled in case TeamViewer has been installed via MSI roll out to allow that the versioning can be managed by the deployment tool.
