In the TeamViewer Management Console, you can assign users different permissions. The user permission control is improved to provide users with the flexibility they need: the ability to change passwords in combination with security in managed profile data.
The available roles depend on their permissions. These roles are available:
Choose Manage administrators and company settings. Users with these rights have a privileged profile data editing right. For example, the company administrator grants users the permission to change their password. The company administrator can manage other users, administrators and the company profile. This also includes adding administrators or editing a company profile.
Choose Manage Users: If users receive these permissions, they can manage other users. This also includes creating users or editing them.
User. If none of the above permissions are given, the user receives one of the following options:
Allow full profile modification
No profile modification allowed
Allow password change only
Advanced User control for administrators
You can allow users to change their own password, but you keep control over their email address and their profile data.
This improvement of user permission fulfils demands of large organizations as it meets guidelines and policies.
To be able to use this feature, you must meet the following requirements:
You are using TeamViewer 13 or higher.
You own a TeamViewer 13 Premium, Corporate or Tensor license (or higher).
The user that receives the permission of changing their own password is not an administrator.
Administrators can grant users permission to change their password.
