We are excited to announce the integration of Patch Management into the TeamViewer Remote Management family of products. Our integrated solution will help you to detect and patch vulnerable, outdated software. Keep your IT infrastructure up-to-date and secure by automatically evaluating and applying Windows OS and 3rd party application patches.
¹ Internet Explorer 8.0 or later is required.
From now on if a user activates Monitoring & Asset Management, Patch Management will automatically be included* under the Asset Management tab.
For existing Monitoring & Asset Management users, a “Discover” button will be available under the Asset Management tab, after clicking on it, Patch Management will be activated (if the selected device supports Patch Management, see TV version and OS requirements above).
For installing Patch Management, TeamViewer will download an approx. 20 MB file. After activation the Patch Management service will scan the computer for any missing patches and vulnerabilities which will take somewhere from a few seconds up to a minute, depending on device performance.
After activation, the system will trigger a scan of the selected device, detecting all missing patches. This information will then be displayed in the Management Console.
After clicking on the number (which is a link) the user will be redirected to the “Patch” tab, where he will see a software list.
Users can filter the Patches list using several filters:
Each Patch contains all the necessary information:
After reviewing the list, the user can choose which Patches need to be deployed. By simply putting a tick and pressing on the deploy button, patch deployment will be triggered on the device.
The status of the deployment, including downloading and installing will be displayed in the Device and Patch views.
